Aldi’s Brooklea Greek Style Yogurt (£0.95, 500g) has been named a joint winner in the latest Which? Greek-style yogurt taste test. The supermarket favourite achieved the highest score in the test, 77%, earning both the prestigious ‘Best Buy’ and ‘Great Value’ endorsements.
The result shows that shoppers don’t need to pay premium prices to enjoy a delicious, high-quality yogurt. At just 95p for a 500g tub, Aldi’s winning yogurt impressed judges with its thick, velvety texture and rich flavour, outperforming a host of rivals, including products from Yeo Valley (£2.25) and Waitrose (£1.20).
Greek-style yogurt is a popular fridge staple, enjoyed for both its versatility and nutritional credentials. Rich in protein and suitable for everything from breakfast bowls to cooking and baking, it remains a firm favourite with shoppers across the UK.
The Which? taste test, conducted using a blind tasting panel, praised Aldi’s Brooklea Greek Style Yogurt for its thickness, creaminess, flavour and overall appearance.
Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, said: “Greek-style yogurt is a staple in many households, and we’re delighted that our Brooklea Greek Style Yogurt has been recognised by Which? with both ‘Best Buy’ and ‘Great Value’ endorsements. Achieving the joint highest score in the test, while costing less than many competing products, demonstrates our commitment to providing customers with outstanding quality at the lowest possible prices.”
