A King’s Lynn-based law firm has been recognised as the highest donating firm in the East of England after raising £5,475 through the Will Aid charity Will-writing campaign.
Hawkins Ryan Solicitors has proudly supported Will Aid since 2012, dedicating their time and expertise to writing Wills and raising an impressive grand total of £34,537. Instead of charging their usual fees for basic Wills, the team invited clients to make an upfront donation to Will Aid, helping to fund the vital work of its partner charities.
The team’s efforts were recently recognised with a visit from Shelter, one of Will Aid’s partner charities, giving staff the opportunity to hear first-hand about the difference their fundraising is making.

Since its launch in 1988, Will Aid has raised more than £26 million in donations, with millions more pledged in charitable legacies thanks to the generosity of participating solicitors.

Will Aid runs every November, offering people the opportunity to have a professionally written Will in exchange for a donation. The suggested donation is £120 for a basic single Will and £200 for a pair of mirror Wills, with all proceeds supporting Will Aid’s partner charities: Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Crisis, NSPCC, SCIAF (Scotland), Shelter and Trócaire (Northern Ireland).
