Currie & Brown, a world-leading project management, cost management and advisory services firm, has appointed Mike Bull as its new Head of Infrastructure for England and Wales.
In this role, Mike will lead Currie & Brown’s infrastructure offer across its England and Wales regional business, with a focus on markets outside London and the South East.
Mike joins as clients across transport, energy and utilities face growing pressure to deliver more with less. They need to manage costs, reduce risk and show long-term value, often in a changing political and economic environment. Mike will help them make better investment decisions and deliver major programmes with confidence.
Mike joins from Midlands Connect, where he was Strategy and Programme Director. He brings 23 years of infrastructure experience.
He has worked on major programmes across the UK. These include the Midlands Rail Hub and HS2’s £17.2 billion Phase 2b programme, which connects Birmingham and Manchester. He has also overseen motorway investment programmes across England’s strategic road network.
Mike’s experience covers every stage of a programme, from early planning through to construction. These programmes have included business case development, stakeholder engagement and political briefing. He has delivered complex infrastructure programmes under close public scrutiny.
His appointment comes as the UK Infrastructure Pipeline includes 734 planned projects worth £718 billion over the next decade.
Mike will support clients across transport, energy, utilities and related sectors. He will help them prioritise investment, build stronger business cases and manage risk earlier. He will also help improve control over cost, programme and project performance.
