Jet2 has reassured customers that they will see no changes to their hand luggage allowance as Europe moves towards new rules designed to make air fares and baggage allowances easier to understand and compare when booking.
The new measures, set by the European Commission and due to come into force in 2027, are designed to give passengers greater transparency around cabin baggage allowances across the airline industry.
While some airlines charge customers extra to bring hand luggage onboard, Jet2 customers already receive a free 10kg hand luggage allowance as standard, alongside a personal item, giving customers certainty about what is included from the moment they book.
The award-winning airline and tour operator says customers can continue to book with confidence, knowing exactly what is included from the moment they book, without hidden surprises or unexpected add-ons.
According to Jet2, 80% of customers say the inclusion of 10kg of free hand luggage is a key reason they choose to fly with Jet2.

Jet2 was recently named the highest-rated airline and tour operator in the July 2026 UK Customer Satisfaction Index (UKCSI).
