Scania has revealed its solution to overcome range anxiety for electric long-haul transportation at IAA Transportation show in Hannover, Germany.
Customers are now able to configure a Scania battery electric truck with a range of up to 720km – the same distance as travelling from London to Hull and back on one charge.
By combining megawatt charging, chassis mounted battery options and under cab options with the new behind the cab battery option, it’s the first-time customers can opt for an extended electric range while retaining the operational flexibility needed for long-haul European transportation.
