They also showcase the exterior design scheme for the new homes, which incorporates the use of brick, weatherboarding and large windows to reflect the architectural style of properties within Northstowe.
Bellway started construction work at Hatton Gate in March this year. The development is located to the west of Station Road, close to the new Northstowe community hub.
A total of 107 homes are set to be delivered on the 11-acre site. Bellway is building 61 homes for private sale and 43 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership, with land also allocated for three self-build plots.
“They show how the apartment block provides a prominent landmark building at the entrance to the development, while the three-storey townhouses and two-storey properties provide a varied street scene.
“In line with Bellway’s company-wide commitment to sustainable practices, all homes at Hatton Gate will have low-carbon air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points.
“Green space is a prominent feature throughout the development. A central area of public open space will feature a children’s play area and will be accessible to all, while new tree planting and the creation of wetland and grassland areas will support biodiversity. With construction work progressing nicely, and the first selection of properties now available to reserve, we are looking forward to welcoming the first residents at Hatton Gate into their new homes in December.”
Land within Hatton Gate has been allocated for a commercial building which could include a shop or café/restaurant and office space. A separate detailed planning application for this is currently with the local authority for consideration.
The first homes at Hatton Gate are being sold through Haart Estate Agents at Unit 12, The Mall, Bar Hill, Cambridge. A selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes are currently available, with prices starting from £330,000.
