Mercedes-Benz Vans has introduced the new Vito Sport-X, a UK exclusive trim for the Vito Crew van range, created to mark 130 years of transportation.
Based on the existing Vito SELECT trim, the Sport-X adds a motorsports-inspired exterior design, upgraded interior materials and additional standard equipment. It will sit at the top of the Vito Crew van line-up when orders open in September.
The model is powered by the class-leading Mercedes-Benz 190 PS 2.0-litre diesel engine, paired with 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission, producing 440 Nm of torque and capable of 0–62 mph in 10 seconds.
Exterior changes include a redesigned front bumper and grille with integrated splitter, rear spoiler, gloss black detailing, side skirts, roof rails, Sport-X badging, sport tripes to bonnet and sides and 19-inch diamond-cut black alloy wheels. Alpine Grey is offered as the standard paint, with Arctic White or six metallic paints, Sodalite Blue, Obsidian Black, Kalahari Gold, High Tech Silver, Graphite Grey or Hyacinth Red available at no extra cost.
Inside, the standard three-seat front bench has been replaced with individual sport seats with integrated headrests, redesigned bolsters for comfort and Sport-X branding. The cabin also features motorsport inspired black eco-leather and dark grey suede upholstery with orange contrast stitching. Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging and a centre console unit with storage are included as standard.
The Vito Sport-X also retains the SELECT specification, including smartphone integration, TEMPMATIC air conditioning, ambient lighting and driver assistance systems such as Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist.
Available as a 5-seater crew van in L2 and L3 body lengths, the Vito Sport-X offers payloads of up to 733 kg, load capacity of up to 4.1 m³ and towing capability of up to 2,500 kg. A removable rear bench allows for additional load space when needed.
Each Vito Sport-X also comes with a range of services designed to maximise uptime, including three-year manufacturer warranty, MobiloVan roadside assistance and breakdown cover and Uptime monitor.
The Vito Sport-X will be available to order from September, priced from £56,995 excluding VAT.
