British Airways has announced its latest Avios-Only flights, where every single seat on board is available exclusively to book with Avios, giving customers the chance to enjoy a Mediterranean escape to either the golden beaches of Majorca or the sun-soaked shores of Crete during the peak summer holiday season.
Available exclusively to members of The British Airways Club, the latest Avios-Only services will operate from London Heathrow to Palma, Majorca and Heraklion, Crete during August 2027, offering customers an exciting opportunity to spend their Avios on travel to two of Europe’s most sought-after summer destinations.
For customers seeking a Balearic island getaway, British Airways will operate an Avios-Only flight from London Heathrow to Palma, Majorca, on Saturday 14 August 2027, returning a week later on 21 August 2027. Majorca’s beautiful coastline, picturesque villages and vibrant dining scene make it one of the Mediterranean’s most popular holiday destinations. Seats will be available for 28,000 Avios + £5 return in Euro Traveller and 49,000 Avios + £40 return in Club Europe, with checked baggage included as standard.
Alternatively, customers can choose Crete, with a dedicated Avios-Only service from London Heathrow to Heraklion also departing on Saturday 14 August 2027 and returning on Saturday 21 August 2027. Greece’s largest island offers stunning beaches, rich history, authentic cuisine and charming coastal towns, making it an ideal destination for families, couples and adventurers alike. Seats will be available for 33,500 Avios + £5 return in Euro Traveller and 60,000 Avios + £40 return in Club Europe.

Customers with a British Airways American Express Credit Card also have the option to use their Companion Vouchers when booking seats on Avios-Only flights. These entitle Members to a second seat for no extra Avios, just the taxes and charges, or for solo travellers, 50% off the Avios fare.
Launched in 2023, Avios-Only flights are dedicated services on which every seat, in every cabin, is exclusively available to purchase using Avios, making it easier for members to secure Reward Seats on popular leisure routes during peak travel periods. Since launch, British Airways has operated over 50 Avios-Only flights to destinations across Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East.
Alongside these dedicated Avios-Only flights, customers can also take advantage of a guaranteed minimum number of Reward Seats on all British Airways flights, meaning those looking to redeem their Avios can also do so at another time or to another destination. Members can book these new Avios-Only flights through www.ba.com, with seats on sale from tomorrow (22 October).
