McCarthy & Stone has appointed Jonathan Sanders as Head of Partnerships to fast-track the development of its Partnerships business.
The McCarthy & Stone Partnerships business combines its expertise as the UK’s leading later living brownfield developer and later living lifestyle provider with growing demand for later living developments. With the UK’s pensionable age population forecast to increase from 12.4m in 2024 to 15.3m by 2049, demand for later living accommodation is set to grow significantly.
Working alongside blue-chip private and public organisations, such as housing associations and landowners, McCarthy & Stone’s Partnerships business will play a major role in meeting this demand through the delivery of these vital projects. The model accelerates delivery of this housing, broadens access to this specialist later living lifestyle, and attracts new investment into the sector. Since launching, McCarthy & Stone already has a number of partnerships underway, with several due to complete in the coming weeks.
Jonathan joins the business with more than a decade of experience across residential development, affordable housing, land acquisition and strategic partnerships. Latterly at the untypical Group, where he successfully led land and partnership strategies, managed multidisciplinary stakeholder relationships and delivered residential and affordable housing projects, Jonathan has also worked at a number of organisations including Hill Group and Legal & General.
Jonathan’s appointment underlines McCarthy & Stone’s commitment to growing this part of the business at pace and helping meet the UK’s increasing demand for later living housing.
